Procrastination know no bounds

A serious cause that resulted in a series of rallies all around the world today, which you can read about here. The article says the UN believe 200,000 people have died since the conflict has begun, and the lack of action from external forces is slightly worrying. Reading the article led to the above image, and now I have to start working - with the Arsenal game on the radio in the background, for inspiration purposes obviously.

More New Type

I really should be either asleep, or working, but for some reason I decided that getting this typeface out of my head and into the world of bits and bytes was important. Unfortunately for me, this style lends itself to a few more shapes, so if I get bored sometime then there could be a whole series of these.

Another fun website

A website by Miranda July for her new book. A different approach to website making. Via Ace Jet 170.

New Type

One more new typeface, well not totally new, it's based on Franklin Gothic, where I've basically just freed the counters. I wanted it to give the font a little bit more character, a more hard man image to go with the football magazine that I am going to pair it with. I decided against breaking up each letter as it would have simply made it into another stencil typeface.

Inspirational shopping trip (part 1)

Not the most important part of my shopping trip, but as of yesterday I can finally claim a be@rbrick as my own. A very girly one admittedly, but seeing as they come blind boxed I don't mind too much. I'll post again soon with pics of the useful stuff from my shopping trip, and hopefully by then I'll have finally received my order from amazon, so I'll have one more thing to inspire me. Hopefully.

My new favourite website

Is here, and I think that it is absolutely brilliant. While it may have no obvious use, or at least one that I can think of at the moment, it's still something that shows what can be made with some imagination and technical know how. It is called We Feel Fine, and was made by Jonathan Harris and Sep Kamvar. It basically searches for entries in MySpace, LiveJournal and Flickr for the words 'I feel', and 'I am feeling', and places these sentences and pictures on an online database/gallery. Thanks to boicozine for the link (and pic).
